About Vincent Wiguna
Pemuda kelahiran 1995 ini mulai belajar piano sejak usia 3,5 tahun di Yamaha, lalu diteruskan ke Yayasan Musicorum. Guru-guru yang pernah membimbingnya antara lain: Fiona, Stanley, Ihsia Wermann, Khie Su Hwa, Julina, dan So Kim Wie. Pernah mengikuti masterclass dengan Ani Takidze dan Michelle Campanella, serta kelas mengiringi himne dengan Billy Kristanto. Sebagai pianis ia aktif bermain solo dan berkesempatan bermain Mozart Piano Concerto k. 271 di bawah baton Michael Budiman Mulyadi. Sebagai pianis kolaboratif aktif mengiringi PSM Universitas Indonesia dan Universitas Mercu Buana, berkolaborasi dengan penyanyi tenor muda Pharel Silaban, resital vokal oleh Yayasan Musicorum, dan menjadi pengiring nasional Pekan Seni Mahasiswa Nasional 2016. Pengalaman menjuri dalam Kompetisi Piano Casanova 2017 tidak lepas dari kesempatannya mengajar piano sejak di bangku SMP.
Mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia jurusan Ilmu Hubungan Internasional ini mendapatkan pengalaman mengaba pertamanya di bangku SMA, ketika itu ia berkesempatan memimpin orkes alat tiup sekolahnya, Canisius Wind Ensemble (CWE), selama dua tahun. Di sini ia berkesempatan memimpin konser amal di Tegal dan Purwokerto, drama musikal Newsies, hingga akhirnya membawa orkes tersebut tampil dalam sebuah konser kolaborasi di Aulendorf, Jerman. Lulus dari Kolese Kanisius, ia sempat belajar mengaba di bawah bimbingan Budi Utomo Prabowo, mengikuti masterclass dari Robert Lehrbaumer dan Shiak Yao Lee. Sejak tahun 2015 turut melatih paduan suara Eliata, bimbingan soprano Renata Lim, dan sekarang dipercayakan menjadi salah satu asisten pengaba di Jakarta City Philharmonic. Awal tahun 2017 ini ia menjadi music director dalam teater musikal Threepenny Opera.
Ketertarikannya terhadap musik juga dituangkan dalam seni tarik suara. Sejak kecil ia aktif di paduan suara gereja (Jakarta Oratorio Society), dan menjadi anggota Jakarta Festival Chorus sejak tahun 2014.
Vincent Wiguna, born in 1995, was introduced to the world of music when he started playing the piano during his early age at 3,5 years old in Yamaha before continuing his lessons in Yayasan Musicorum. Some of the teachers that have taught him first-hand were: Fiona, Stanley, Ihsia Wermann, Khie Su Hwa, Julina and So Kim Wie. He participated in masterclasses by Ani Takidze and Michelle Campanella, and also learned hymn accompaniment with Billy Kristanto. As a pianist, he actively plays solo piano, and had the opportunity to play Mozart Piano Concerto k. 271 under the baton of Michael Budiman Mulyadi. As a collaborative musician, Wiguna has frequently accompanied the Student Choir of the University of Indonesia and Mercu Buana University, collaborated with Pharel Silaban, performed in vocal recitals by Yayasan Musicorum, and he was also the official music accompanist of Pekan Seni Mahasiswa Nasional 2016, a nationally held competition on music and arts. He was also given the honour to be one of the judging panel member in Casanova Piano Competition 2017, due to the fact that he has been teaching piano lessons professionally since he was still a junior high school student.
During his senior high school period, this gentlemen who is currently studying International Relations in University of Indonesia got his initial experience in conducting. Back then, he was the leader of his school’s orchestra, Canisius Wind Ensemble (CWE), for two years. During this time, he had the pleasure of leading charity concerts in Tegal and Purwokerto, musical drama Newsies, and ultimately leading his orchestra to an overseas experience; they participated in a collaborative concert in Aulendorf, Germany. Subsequent to his graduation from high school, Canisius College, he partook in conducting lessons under the guidance of Budi Utomo Prabowo, masterclasses from Robert Lehrbaumer and also from Shiak Yao Lee. Since 2015, Wiguna also has been coaching Eliata Choir, under the guidance of soprano Renata Lim, and now is entrusted with the responsibility as assistant conductor for Jakarta City Philharmonic. Earlier in 2017, he was also assigned the position as the music director of a musical theater, The Threepenny Opera.
His interest in music is also channeled into his vocal training. Since early age, he’s been an active member in a church choir, namely Jakarta Oratorio Society, and later became a member of Jakarta Festival Chorus in 2014.
